Deirdre Mulrooney is an Irish artist, living and working in Berlin.
Raised working-class in the Dublin suburbs dominated by Catholicism and patriarchy, Deirdre now lives as an artist, a mother, and a teacher discovering the joy of playing with taboos and visions of female identity that would until all to recently have seen her locked away. She uses drawing and painting as a vehicle for healing and change.
